I Am Not Just Writing a Ceremony. I Am Telling Your Story.

People often ask me what I do as a wedding celebrant.

The simplest answer is that I write and deliver wedding ceremonies.

But that is not how I see it.

I see myself as the narrator of your story.

When we meet, I am not looking for perfect answers or beautifully rehearsed memories.

I am listening for the little moments.

The way you met.

The stories that still make you laugh.

The challenges you've overcome together.

The tiny details that only the two of you understand.

Those moments become the heart of your ceremony.

The words I write are important, but they are not my words.

They are yours.

Your memories.

Your personalities.

Your humour.

Your love.

My role is simply to bring them together in a way that sounds like you.

Every couple has a story worth telling.

Not because it is extraordinary.

But because it is uniquely theirs.

When your family and friends hear your ceremony, I want them to smile and think,

"That is so them."

That is when I know I have done my job.

I am not standing at the front to perform.

I am there to tell your story with warmth, honesty and care.

Because the most meaningful ceremonies are not built around beautiful words.

They are built around the people those words belong to.
