Planning an elopement or small wedding in Northern Ireland? Here is how I can help.

Perhaps you have spotted a photograph of a couple getting married overlooking the coast and thought, “That would do us.” Perhaps a big wedding has never appealed to you. Or maybe you want a few of your favourite people together somewhere lovely, without making the whole thing more complicated than it needs to be.
Whatever has brought you here, how exciting! You have a wedding to plan, and there are some fabulous possibilities.
Where would you love to get married?
Northern Ireland has so many beautiful places to choose from. A castle, a beach, somewhere overlooking the sea, or a little spot that already means something to you both.
As a celebrant authorised to conduct legal marriages in Northern Ireland, I can legally marry you at pretty much any location of your choosing here. We just need to agree that it is suitable and make sure any necessary permissions are in place.
Alongside the lovely view, we will think about the practical things. Can everyone comfortably get there? Will you hear each other if it is windy? What is our plan if the weather has other ideas?
That is where experience comes in. You can enjoy imagining the day while we work through what will help it run smoothly.
A little about me
I am Roisín, and my background is hospitality, specifically weddings. I spent over 20 years helping couples plan their celebrations and bringing everything together on the day, including working as a hotel general manager.
There is very little about a wedding day that I have not come across, so you have quite a hefty bit of experience to call on!
Over the years, managing wedding venues gave me the chance to see so many celebrants at work, and I often thought, “I would love to do that.” In 2024, I finally took the plunge and started my training.
I became a fully accredited funeral and wedding celebrant in 2025 and began working full time in the role that April. Since then, I have conducted over 110 ceremonies, working with couples and families through some of life’s most meaningful moments.
And I absolutely love it.
You do not need to have it all worked out
You might know exactly where you want to stand, what you want to wear and who you want beside you. Or you might only know that you want to get married somewhere beautiful and keep things small.
Either is perfectly fine.
We will have a chat, get to know each other and work out what matters to you both. I will guide you through the legal paperwork and help you shape a ceremony that feels comfortable and personal.
You do not need to arrive with beautifully written vows or a list of readings. We can work through those things together. There is no need to turn your ceremony into a performance if that is not you.
There is room for the nerves too
Even a small wedding can bring a few worries. Sometimes it is the paperwork. Sometimes it is speaking in front of people. Sometimes it is a little thing that has suddenly become a very big thing in your head.
I love being able to help with those moments. The voice note when something is worrying you. The chat that puts it into perspective. A few quiet quips at the top of the aisle when the nerves kick in.
Sure, I know the craic. Years of looking after couples have taught me when to offer reassurance, when a laugh will help and when someone simply needs a calm person beside them who knows what happens next.
I also choose my workload carefully so I can give the couples and families I work with the time and attention they deserve. You should feel comfortable asking your questions.
Shall we start with a chat?
Whether you live here or are travelling to Northern Ireland for your wedding, you do not need to have a date, a location or all the answers before getting in touch.
Tell me the little idea you have in your head, even if it is only, “Somewhere by the sea, with the people we love.”
Shall we have a chat about what your wedding could look like?
